LA DÉTER

The project of LA DÉTER, carried by the ACHLES association, was born from the desire to promote artistic actions aimed at the public present in the Cévennes territory, taking into account their specificities, whether sociological, geographical, or economic.

For these reasons, David Wampach chose to immerse himself, to “reside,” to “take refuge,” in order to interact with the landscape, invest in a region, and imagine innovative partnerships with the structures already existing in the Grand-Combe territory through LA DÉTER, located in the premises of the former Grand-Combe Tourist Office.

WHAT IS LA DÉTER?

LA DÉTER is a benevolent and inclusive place, for everyone, which invites expression and exchange through artistic creation. Whether through dance, food, sound recording, photography, or walking, LA DÉTER offers multidisciplinary artistic practices to enable dialogue, demystify the creative process, and bring together diverse audiences.

Our proposals can take various forms: workshops, courses, meetings, walks, highlight events, and open sessions to promote social ties, associate and unite populations and different generations, from the youngest to the oldest, propose moments of exchange and collective creation while being as inclusive as possible.

The objectives of the project are as follows:

Include all the public of the territory and, more specifically, with actions dedicated to young people, people with disabilities, and people in exile.

Experiment with new modalities of creation to demystify the creative approach to the public.

Propose events in public spaces and imagine innovative dissemination formats.

Collaborate with structures of the territory and promote exchanges with structures in France and internationally.

Break down cultural practices by associating them with initiatives of social, tourism, ecological, sports, and economic operators of the territory.

Promote the territory.
